The power of the miniature geared motor should be selected according to the power required by the production machinery, and try to make the motor run under the rated load. Pay attention to the following two points when choosing:
    1. If the motor power is selected too small, the phenomenon of "small horse-drawn cart" will appear, causing long-term overload of the motor and damage to its insulation. Even the motor was burned.
    2. If the motor power is selected too large, the phenomenon of "big horse-drawn trolley" will appear, its output mechanical power cannot be fully utilized, and the power factor and efficiency are not high, which is not only harmful to users and the power grid. It will also cause waste of electrical energy.

Compared with the micro motor with the same power and continuous working quota, the short-time working quota micro motor should be selected as far as possible when conditions permit. For the micro DC geared motor with intermittent work rating, the power selection should be based on the size of the load duration, and the micro motor specially used for the intermittent operation mode should be selected.
