The performance of Brushless DC Motor Hall sensor

The working principle of brushless DC motor is essentially similar to that of brushed motor. The brushed DC motor uses mechanical brushes and commutators to commutate the current in the windings. The brushless motor uses electronic method to commutate the winding current.

The torque in DC motor is generated by the interaction between the magnetic field of the permanent magnet and the current in the winding. In a brushed motor, the commutator realizes the commutation of the armature current and a suitable magnetic field by switching the armature winding. In the brushless DC motor, the Hall sensor detects the position of the rotating magnetic field of the rotor, and the corresponding winding is excited through the logic and drive circuit.
